Lenny Sandlar


Lenny Sandlar represents clients in criminal proceedings, civil litigation, regulatory matters, and internal investigations. He has represented a broad range of domestic and foreign clients, including before the DOJ, SEC, FINRA, and the district attorney’s office. Mr. Sandlar has worked on all stages of litigation proceedings, most recently representing a client in a multi-week securities/wire fraud jury trial. Mr. Sandlar has obtained favorable outcomes on behalf of pro bono clients in asylum proceedings and employment litigation, as well as on behalf of indigent defendants in criminal proceedings pursuant to the Criminal Justice Act.

Prior to joining Petrillo Klein & Boxer, Mr. Sandlar served as a law clerk to the Honorable Nicholas G. Garaufis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, in which capacity he assisted with two criminal trials. Mr. Sandlar received his law degree from Columbia Law School, where he was a James Kent Scholar and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He graduated summa cum laude from The George Washington University.

Mr. Sandlar is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is fluent in Russian and conversant in Spanish, French, and Hebrew.
